Peach Fuzz Anyone?

Every year, color forecasting service Pantone selects one color to be the color of the year. That color for 2024 is Peach Fuzz, or if you're familiar with Pantone's color numbering system, it's 13-1023.

Now, you might be wandering if there's a natural gemstone that could match this newly popular color. Why, glad you asked! There actually is, and it is mined in the US too. Meet sunstone!

Oregon sunstone

Sunstone belongs to the family of feldspar, and in the United States, it is mined in Oregon. On the Mohs hardness scale, it measures anywhere between 6.5 and 7.2 which makes it number among the sturdier gemstones. For comparison, diamond, the hardest known gemstone to mankind, measures 10 on the Mohs scale.

Here at Buckaroo Bling, we usually don't experiment much with the materials we use for our bling, but 2024 might be an exception if you decide you love the new color of the year, Peach Fuzz, and the corresponding gemstone, sunstone.

All you've got to do is let us know in the comments below that you want some sunstone earrings, and we'll design a limited collection to help you out. So, what do you think about Peach Fuzz?
